Hey all. I was just handed a CD-ROM full of pictures from our upcoming book, HandiBear Cares. To recap our first blog post, HandiBear Cares is the first in a series of stories about a handicapped teddy bear and his less fortunate friends. The book is currently in the hands of editors. We're anticipating the first printing to start by the end of next month, March. Our friend and illustrator, Darryl Matthews helped bring HandiBear to life and I wanted to give you all a sneak peek at some of the illustrations.

As soon as we get a final draft from our publishers, I will provide a sneak peek of the actual story (and put it with the images.) Stay tuned for that.

We've recently switched to using Google Checkout as our payment acceptance system. Google Checkout is safe, fast, and conveinent way to shop online, providing one login for multiple shops across the web. Google Checkout accepts major credit and debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

For us, Google Checkout provides an easy way to determine shipping costs appropriately by weight and shipping destination. A big problem we had previously was that Paypal has limited abilities for calculating and charging shipping costs. In order to compensate for that, we had to charge excessive amounts for shipping, basically making every one pay an assumed average cost per item to ship, which left our local customers paying more than they have to. By switching to Google Checkout, we've made it easier and more affordable to shop with Cre8tive Gifts, and we believe the change will be beneficial to all of our customers.

Introducing our upcoming line, called HandiBear Cares, which revolves around the story of a handicapped teddy bear, named HandiBear, and his troubled friends, such as Heaven Scent, a poor puppy dog waiting in a pound for a home, and Charity Cares, a small Catholic girl who has nothing, but wants to give the world. Each... character has their own story to tell and represents a specific charity to correspond with their story (American Disabilities Association, NJSPCA, Catholic Charities, etc.)

Each character has their own stuffed toy in their likeness, starting with HandiBear himself.

Also in this line, will be an awareness t-shirt, with HandiBear’s image, and the logo, “Bear WiT Me.”
